The Global Youth Day (GYD) -2025 is a monumental day on our spiritual journey, Kampala International University Seventh Day Adventist Association (KIUSDAA) community has been blessed with many meaningful events which bring us closer to our faith and to each other. -this event, stands out.
In this particular article we highlighted some of the recent events that have taken place in this quarter that has just ended and also just give a hint on the upcoming events in next quarter. We hope that this will motivate us all to be actively engaged in the service of our God as we await His appearing on the clouds of heaven as he has promised.
Church Events
KIUSDAA has been actively engaged in various events that promote spiritual growth and community service. Some of these are organized basing on the KIUSDAA calendar and others according to the world wide Seventh Day Adventist church calendar.

The Global Youth Day (GYD) Under the umbrella of the General Conference, in the context of the GYD 2025 where the youth all over the world exercise their love and evangelism within their communities. KIUSDAA community took a milestone and participated in the GYD 2025 in conjunction with the Kashenyi SDA Church being driven by the theme A Community Transformed (ACT). The community had to be transformed not only physically but also spiritually and ideally in all aspects of life.
The activities that were conducted included among others, the general cleaning of Kashenyi Town, blood donation, and donation of food to some households, and literature distribution. All these activities were carried out by KIUSDAA members in conjunction with the Kashenyi SDA church. More follow-up is to be done with the aim of bringing the people of Kashenyi into a saving relationship with God.
These activities didn’t only benefit the residents of Kashenyi town but also played a very big role in developing team work and increasing the desire for more acts of kindness in the hearts of those that participated.
Most of these activities took place on 9th March, 2025, prior to the Global Youth Day while others happened on the very GYD.
Sabbath worship on the Global Youth Day (GYD 2025)
This was the day o climax all the activities together with the people of Kashenyi and so very many people were invited for worship on the Sabbath day many of whom attended.
On the Sabbath 15th March, prayer sessions were held at Kashenyi market grounds and were followed by blood donations in the evening .
Some of the KIUSDAA youths, Members of KIUSDAA, Kashenyi SDA church and visitors enjoyed communion together as they worshipped together with sweet melodies in music both in English and local language, Runyankore.
All around was peace and joy as the youths rejoiced in the day that the Lord had granted unto them.
Blood donation was part of this day as it was an act of showing love in saving lives of many who need blood in hospitals.
The day was ended with smiles on each face and some souls were won for Christ
